Short Range Propagation Model for a Very Wideband Directive Channel at 5.5 Ghz Band
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this work, the propagation loss of three short range directive channels at 5.5GHz is measured using different directive antennas and a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). Results are given for a channel bandwidth of 300 MHz which will be the future channel bandwidth of IEEE 802.11 ac system. It has been noted that the multipath induced fading tends to have Normal Distribution at low distance between the transmitting and the reception antennas. At higher distances, it tends to have Normal distribution plus Rayleigh one. Channel Impulse response (CIR) is also measured indicating that the main contribution is due to the direct ray and the one reflected from the floor. The human being obstruction causes an extra propagation loss of 2 to 10 dB depending on its distance from the transmitting antenna.

This paper deals with the channel loss models of ultra-wideband radio wave propagation from 2 to 10 GHz application. IEEE 802.15.4a and Okumura channel loss reference models have been introduced and the estimation methods of channel transmission loss have been discussed with the environments of 2 to 10 GHz short range application. The channel transmission loss was measured in ZigBee circuit wit...

Background and Objectives: In this paper, a new design strategy was proposed in order to enhance bandwidth and efficiency of power amplifier. Methods: To realize the introduced design strategy, a power amplifier was designed using TSMC CMOS 0.18um technology for operating in the Ka band, i.e. the frequency range of 26.5-40GHz. To design the power amplifier, first a power divider (PD) with a ver...

متن کاملUltra Wideband Monopole Antenna Excited by a Capacitive Coupling Feed with Double Band Notch Function
This paper presents the results of a new monopole antenna that exhibits 2.75-10.7 GHz performance. The proposed antenna consists of a radiating patch with notches excited by capacitive coupling feed. Also, the antennas truncated ground-plane incorporates a central notch. This modification significantly improves the antennas impedance bandwidth by 118% over an ultra-wideband frequency range. T...
